MADRID (Thomson Financial) - Repsol YPF SA and Union Fenosa SA have both been authorised to participate in bids for gas exploration projects in Libya, Cinco Dias reported citing a ruling by Libyan state oil group NOC's management committee.
According to the report, Repsol is one of 35 oil companies which applied for clearance to bid for exploration contracts while Fenosa is one of 21 companies that can participate as investors in bidding consortia. Libya is expected to award 12 exploration concessions over 41 blocks of territory covering 72,500 square kilometres, the newspaper said. |
