PWN Exhibicon International, L.L.C. Announces Project Libya - 2006; Incorporating Infrastructure Libya Exhibition, Energy Libya Exhibition, and U.S. - Libya Oil & Gas and Energy Exhibition
Project Libya - 2006
WESTPORT, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 6, 2006--
(Project Libya - 2006 is under the patronage of Dr. Aisha Muammar Al-Qathafi, General Secretary of the Wa'attassemo Foundation)
With the re-opening of the Libyan economy to the U.S. energy community and the widely anticipated multi-billion dollar investment in oil and gas infrastructure, the U.S. Department of Commerce has granted Trade Fair Certification for the first official U.S. - Libya Oil, Gas & Energy Exhibition and the U.S. Pavilion at the Infrastructure Libya Exhibition. The Department has stated it believes the exhibitions will be an excellent opportunity for U.S. companies to showcase their products and services.
PWN Exhibicon International LLC, the company that organized the first exhibitions authorized by the United States Government for U.S. companies in the former U.S.S.R., in China and recently Cuba has announced that Project Libya - 2006 incorporating the three exhibitions will be held in Tripoli, Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, from December 4-7, 2006 at the Tripoli International Fairgrounds. The TradeFair Group, a tradeshow management and publishing company in Houston, Texas, focusing on the energy industry will be coordinating exhibit sales for the U.S. - Libya Oil & Gas and Energy Exhibition.
The exhibition will include companies from the following sectors: Oil and Gas Equipment and Services; Energy and Power Equipment; Pipeline Products, Oil & Gas Exploration and Production Companies, Refining and LNG Technology Providers, and Petrochemical Plant Equipment and Services. Over $30 billion dollars are projected to be spent on Libyan oil, gas & energy infrastructure.
Peter W. Nathan, President of PWN Exhibicon International stated: "The U.S.- Libya Oil & Gas and Energy Exhibition provides the ideal forum for U.S. companies seeking to support Libya's energy infrastructure and economic development program. We are impressed by the high level of official support that has been attracted from the Libyan authorities which will certainly contribute to the success of the exhibitions and conference."
As stated in the Houston Chronicle: the Director of Planning and Information Technology for the National Oil Corporation of Libya, which has endorsed the exhibition announced that "Libya is open for business" after oil and gas exploration by U.S. companies had been ceased since 1986.
The Libyan News has reported that some 100 billion barrels of crude oil have been found in Libya over the past 50 years, and 100 billion barrels are thought to remain undiscovered. According to industry executives and analysts Libya produces approximately 1.5 million barrels of oil a day. That amount can double in less than ten years with large infusions of American investment and the introduction of new drilling and production technologies.
Project Libya - 2006 will include, besides the U.S. - Libya Oil, Gas & Energy Exhibition, London's Montgomery Exhibitions Infrastructure Libya and Energy Libya.
Project Libya 2006 will focus on the tremendous planned expenditures on Libyan infrastructure and will showcase international exhibitions of products and services dedicated to developing core projects for municipalities and outlying areas that have been largely ignored over the past decade. More than US$5 billion will be spent in 2006 as part of a modernization of the country's infrastructure. Opportunities exist in heavy construction, telecommunications, housing, water treatment & irrigation and medical equipment. Hotel construction and tourism will be included as well.
Infrastructure Libya and Energy Libya will include country and industry pavilions. Assisting PWN Exhibicon International in the recruitment of companies from the U.S., Canada and the Americas for these co-located exhibitions will be Agile Events, an event organizer with headquarters in Silver Spring, MD (a Washington, DC suburb).
