Addis Ababa - Libyan president Muammar Gaddafi and Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi have agreed to strengthen the two countries' existing relations through investment and trade.
Meles was in Libya for a one-day visit last Friday. Meles and Gaddafi discussed ways of strengthening relations between the two countries in trade, investment and other sectors.
According to reports by Ethiopian news agencies, Meles briefed Gaddafi on the measures his government has taken to create a friendly investment climate in Ethiopia and the viable sectors in which Libyan investors could engage in.
President Gaddafi on his part said that the existing relations between the two countries would further be bolstered through strengthened investment relations.
The two leaders also discussed ways in which their countries could contribute to the prevalence of peace in Somalia through the Inter-Governmental Authority on Development in line with the decisions of the Africa Union, said ENA.
