Foundation-stone for Andalus Tourist Center Project laid

mathaba.net : The Foundation-stone for Andalus Tourist Center investment project, one of the major tourist projects to be executed on the land of Great Jamahiriya, was laid down Sunday afternoon in Tripoli, in line with the celebrations of the 37th anniversary of the great al-Fateh Revolution.

In the course of the celebration, the Secretary of the General People's Committee and general director of the company executing this project laid the foundation-stone, in the presence of the Secretary of the General People Committee for Tourism and Secretary and members of the People's Congress of Tripoli Shabya and the Secretary of the Basic Peoples Congress of Alandalus District and a number of those concerned and specialists of the tourism filed in addition to the ambassador of Switzerland to Libyan Jamahiriya.

This project Joint investment between Libyan Jamahiriya Economic, and Social Development Fund , and the Swiss PERCO holding Company, would be built on 4 hectares, and comprise a five star tourist hotel with 600 rooms in addition to various hotel flats.

The project to take four years to be completed also includes a multi purpose services centers, with office rooms, a trade center and meeting, social events halls, and a theater, in addition to physical fitness halls, Sea water treatment, a car park, green landscape, and seaport with a capacity of 250 yachts.

The project that costs 200 million euro would provides about 1000 job opportunities for Libyans.

The participants in the celebration viewed the prototype of the project, in which the Swiss partner is to invest for 70 years, they were also briefed on its various utilities, purpose, economic significance and tourist status..

The Secretary of General People's Committee underlined that Economic and Social Development Fund is participating with a 30% share of this tourist project which foundation stone was laid Sunday in a joint venture with a foreign investor.

He underlined to Jana, that the General People's Committee and in the framework of executing the resolutions of the Basic People's congresses, is interested in tourism projects, and continually following them up, being economically important projects, which are always on the agenda of the General Peoples Committee and they are always discussed and the problems that they might face during the executive process would be addressed.
