The deal, made at Farnborough, includes a midsize Bombardier Challenger 300 aircraft and a high-speed Global 5000 jet, the first contract awarded to Bombardier within the region.
Capt. Sabri S. Abdullah, United Aviation’s chairman, said: “Our charter services caters to VIP customers across the Middle East who demand the highest quality. We selected the Challenger 300 aircraft for its widebody cabin comfort and its reliability, proven and renowned across the industry. “Meanwhile, the superior speed and high technology cabin of the Bombardier Global 5000 jet, places it in a class above the rest.”
Jahid Fazal-Karim, Bombardier’s senior vice-president for aircraft sales, said: “This landmark first contract signing for Bombardier jets into Libya wraps up a very successful event for us at Farnborough and highlights the versatility and popularity of all Bombardier business jets internationally.”
