Libya, Togo may abolish trade tax
Posted Mon, 31 Jul 2006

Tripoli - Libya and Togo have agreed to set up a legal framework for bilateral co-operation, which could lead to an agreement on abolition of double taxation and investment security.

An official source here said this was a result a meeting on Thursday between visiting Togolese Prime Minister Edem Kodjo and secretary of the Libyan general people's committee for external relations and international co-operation, Abderrahman Chalgham.

The officials also examined ways to facilitate the procedures to enable Libyan businessmen invest in Togo as well as expansion of ties under the Community of Sahel-Saharan States (CEN-SAD), of which both were members. -panapress
